How to update to version 15.2
What is the best recommended procedure to install the new update? Thanks

When moving FORWARD (15.1 to 15.2) go ahead and just install Hitfilm over itself.
When moving BACKWARDS (if reverting from, say, 15.2 to 15.1) you need to uninstall Hitfilm and perform a clean install.

What does that mean "install Hitfilm over itself"? Thank you very much.

@cardiffgiant He means you don't need to uninstall the version of HF, say 15.1, you have already installed to update with 15.2. The installer will just over write the files on the hard drive. Going backward, the file structure may be different enough that they need to be removed before the old system can be rebuilt. Hope that clarifies things a bit for you.

So after I install 15.2 will I have TWO separate Hitfilm Express programs on my computer? Or is it a true update where 15.1 is converted into 15.2 and I end up with only one Hitfilm Express program on my computer? Thanks so much.

Only one version will be on your system. Hitfilm since version 6 or so installs into the same folder location overwriting files as needed. Prior to 6 you could have multiple copy of Hitfilm installed at the same time because it installed into a version specific folder. This was useful for some in helping to troubleshoot problems for users with older versions.

It's like your web browser. When your web browser updates you don't have two or more copies of the web browser. The new version installs "over" the old.

If you use the foundry tracker, keep in mind that 15.2 seems to be broken for some of us in that regard.
