I need a cheap video camera that has ports for multiple mics and mic types. Something for easy fanfilms and the such that I can use with my buddies.
standard wide angle lens (or something like that...)
Note most cheap cameras are going to most likely have a single 1/8" mic jack. If you're looking for a camera with multiple mic inputs (especially multiple types of connectors) you'll need a larger bodied cinema, broadcast or ENG camera. Unless buying used (and old) you're looking at multiple thousands of dollars here.
Cheap is 100-150 and under. One mic jack should be fine since I have a splitter.
I'm pretty sure you're dreaming for multiple mic ports/multiple interface types at that price range. At best you'll find something with a single 1/8" jack, probably used. Given there are hundreds, if not thousands of camcorder models on the market you might get lucky and someone here will know of a model offhand, otherwise, you can start stepping through these looking for things with external mic ports.
I mean this one has a mic port and is under $100... I'm genuinely surprised! Seems I've missed the new market for cheap-ass 1080p "vlogging/webcams."
Thanks. I was on amazon earlier and did not find much, mostly because I didn't know what to search for... wow that IS cheap!
and when i said tripod i meant... i can use a tripod with it not comes with one
I use a canon t3i, if you look around, I've seen them with a kit lens for the 150 ish price range. A t2i would also work (only difference I know of is the flip out screen display).
Agree. Canon T3i is good for it`s price
You might want to go dual system. Get a good camera and get a good audio recorder.
Inexpensive audio recorder with multiple mic inputs would be the Tascam DR-40 (and up, also Zoom has equivalent) but that like 300$ on it's own.
You don't rally want to record audio on a Canon DSLR. The pre amps are pretty much garbage... so noisy.

I use an old Lumix FZ200. It shoots 1080p, and is a pretty decent camera. The one issue is it doesn't have a removable lens, but you can go from 25 to 600 mm. It works fine for video, but the mic jack is 2.5 mm instead of the usual 3.5 mm. You might need an adapter. It is my only camera, and I love it, but if you are willing to spend a little more money, the Lumix G7 looks interesting.
And external audio recordings are not an option like using a zoom audio recorder?
@FlyingBanana78 ... his budget is 100 - 150 for a camera that meets all these reqs. A cheap multi mic recorder (remember he wants multiple mics) is double that.
@EvilDaystar yeah I kind of prematurely posted. After posting I had seen the mention of the zoom and also the budget. Being I can't delete posts I had to live with the newb mistake of the premature posting.
Thank you all for all the sugestions. i will look into all of these. sorry for not commenting earlier. i have been very busy this past month.
