I can't make preset folders.
So I've gotten a couple of free preset packs off the internet and I'm trying to put them in a folder so I can manage them easier, but It won't show up with an option to make a new folder in the effects tab, can someone help me with this?

@Weegee I believe it is at the bottom left corner of the UI where it says Folder and Composite Shot. I think if you click on the word Folder with the effect tab open it should create a new one. And F2 to rename it. Hope it helps.

@tddavis Hey so I did as you said I had the effect tab open and clicked on the folder icon on the bottom of the UI by composite shot and it just made a new folder in the Media panel, and nothing happened in the effects tab.

@tddavis I hadn't caught it until Ben's post a couple days ago but the information you gave @Weegee is recently out of date. Dev Ben Norris completely recoded the Effects Panel and, at this time, it's not actually possible to make new folders directly in the Effects Panel. One can still create custom presets, but folder sorting happens outside Hitfilm directly in Windows Explorer or Mac File System. Basically you'll exit Hitfilm, go to the directory the presets are stored in, create new folders there and shift files around as needed.
I'll link Ben's post here which also lists where the correct directory is. Weegee, this is a new (ongoing?) change in Hitfilm.

I will be making a tutorial on how to do this.
