Unfortunately movie making is a verry expensive hobby. Now hitfilm is about as cheep for the value you get in vfx softwares. And their is a trial version with few limitations mainly you can only export 10 second videos, and can only export to youtube and they get a hitfilm logo at the end. Their trial is great for testing the water. Now if you are looking for a cheep movie editor I would look at sony movie studio. It isn't great but it can go for under 100$ depending on the configuration. Their is also a version of it which works symbiotically with a simpler version of hitfilm.
