I've been messing around in Hitfilm for a while, and one of the things I've made was this, made using the VC Orb plug-in.
Very nice! I've not messed around too much with VC Orb, but now I'm going to give it a shot!
@TheGlassEmperor That is stunning! I used that plug in to make a Mars but it was nowhere near as beautifully framed and rendered as this.
@TheGlassEmperor That is outstanding!
@philipwesson I made a 3 part tutorial on how to use Orb to make planets in HitFilm. Check out the results...
Of course, I should also point out that @Triem23 has some really sweet techniques to accomplish much the same thing without using the Orb Plugin... therefore it can be done in HitFilm Express!
Really nice job @TheGlassEmperor looks great.
@TheGlassEmperor Cool! Very nice.
Whoa that's beautiful @TheGlassEmperor! Got me all overcome with emotion :) I would be really interested in seeing a tutorial on how you produced that.
@TheGlassEmperor Very pretty!
Since @FilmSensei mentioned a certain tutorial I'll go ahead an link it here, just for reference. Note this is not using VCP ORB, but just methods in stock Hitfilm Express. Since this tutorial was made certain enhancements in Hitfilm have made these techniques easier to use and better looking - specifically, the 360-degree Fractal noise.
Actually, most of what I discuss here is pretty much exactly what VCP ORB is doing. ORB just nicely combines a lot of functions into a single interface so you don't have to mess around with multiple layers and nested/precomped/embedded media.
