Hi! I'm Mike, and, as you can see from the badge, I'm an Ambassador/Moderator here.
I'm from Southern California, getting ready to move to Ireland.
What got me into film/photo work? Heck if I remember. I'm old! I work as a freelance event photo/video guy (so, not getting as much work in these Covid-19 times), and did a decade as a cam op/field producer for a local TV station.
Favorite movie/TV series? Tough answer... Different shows for different moods, but - heck - hard to go wrong with a lil Babylon 5 or Doctor Who.
Current projects? Sorry, gang, those are top-secret. Either NDA limited or just not ready for discussion... I have a new kitten. I can talk about Ghost. He's adorbs, and a destroyer of worlds. As I type this I can hear his "Uncle" Fuzz complaining. *checks* yup, the kitten is in mortal combat with an 18-pound adult. My money's on the kitten.
Hmmm. I think this new forum supports direct image uploading. Let's test that with some "D'awww!"
Ghost, Scotty and Fuzz. I think one can figure out who's who!

Hello! My name is Jay Haynes, but I am more commonly known as Film Sensei. As you can see from my badge, I am the newest Ambassador here in the forums! I am originally from Colorado, but I now live in Staunton, Virginia, USA.
I owned / operated a martial arts school for 28 years. I originally got into filmmaking because I was running "Dojo Movie Camps" twice per year. This is where my students would spend two days making a martial arts action movie. Then, they would dress up, ride in a limousine down to our local theater, and enjoy watching the movie they made with all of their friends. I began using HitFilm in order to create the movies.
My list of favorite filmmakers starts with Walt Disney. He won more Academy Awards (26) than anyone in the history of film, and he was instrumental in pushing forward the art of filmmaking in almost every aspect. Beyond Walt Disney would be Georges Méliès, Howard Hawks, John Ford, John Huston, Alfred Hitchcock, Orson Wells, Akira Kurosawa, Roger Corman, George Lucas, and of course, Steven Spielberg. My favorite actors include Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, Katherine Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, Grace Kelly and John Wayne.
My favorite movie is Star Wars, but I am totally a fan of older films, especially from the 30s and 40's.
I don't know that I have a favorite television series, but I am patiently waiting for the next seasonal installments of The Umbrella Academy, The Mandalorian, The Witcher, The Expanse, Cobra Kai, and Stranger Things. I am very sad that The Tick will not be renewed.
I am very excited to be taking a stab at writing my first full length feature film script. Wish me luck!

Hi I'm Andy I have been a Hitfilm user and Ambassador for some time now. I am a new Moderator on the new Forum so exciting times.
I live in South Wales, UK but originate from South London. I am a dad to 3 under 16 kids and I am a full time house husband.
I guess with reflection I have always liked VFX and editing, my earliest VFX was a sword done in Deluxe Paint on the Amiga A500 but and editing when I spliced using a Beta Max video and and a game intro for F15 fighter jets all done for a Scout Camp video. Later I picked up an interest in VFX when I stumbled across Andrew Kramer's videos in early 2012. I found a free version of Adobe After effects (back then they allowed you to download old versions for free) and had a play. While surfing for more cool tutorials I found Hitfilm, and have never looked at Adobe again.
Big fan of Corridor Digital, been watching the lads since YouTube started. Also like FilmRiot, the early days were the best (hehe sorry Ryan). As far as film industry it has to be Joss Whedon and Edgar Wright (Big fan of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost)
TV : RedDwarf, Doctor Who, Star Trek (any of the more traditional stuff TNG etc, not so Discovery) - New Picard series is great. The Expanse, The Tick, The A-Team (yes I am that old).
Film: Original Superman (CR), Star Wars 4,5,6 , Matrix.
Working on Next : Who knows, what ever takes my fance. I like mostly doing Visualations in Hitfilm. Check out my YouTube Channel to get an idea. https://www.youtube.com/user/Andy001z/

Ok, here goes nothing... I am from far western Ky in the US. I'm tddavis or 4K Productions Films (not 4K resolution though! Way back, in the 80s I started a side business transferring people's 8mm and 16mm film to VHS for cheap. I called it 4K because I had 4 daughters under 10 at the time all names starting with K. Had to wait until the 4th was born to use the name though for "reasons" 🤣 Now there are 10 grandchildren too.
I got into video way back about 1974 when me and a couple of friends in high school were tasked with cleaning up the attendance office closet (No, it wasn't detention or punishment😀) and we found an old reel to reel 3/4 or 1 inch videotape machine and camera. Being as I was a fledgling darkroom junkie for the school yearbook, we asked to try and sort out the jungle of cables and get it operational which we did and used it to video that years drama play Lil Abner which I was the villain and which sadly was lost after graduation. I am a retired nuclear/chemical worker. I started getting into CG/3D in about 2004 with an old copy of 3DSMax then went to Lightwave for a time and finally saw what Blender had started adding with Physics about 2012-13 and started trying to learn it heavily. Also, about when I discovered Hitfilm 3. I'm old and slow, so I have made slow progress.
Always been into Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Horror books and movies and used to be a huge comic collector. Oh, I'm also a failed writer so apologies for the 10K word essay. Most writing I have done in quite the while. Oh, left out; at the moment my favorite creative is Jon Favreau and The Mandalorian is my current obsession. So much for boring, useless trivia. If you have any questions, just ask.

Greetings, programs!
My name is Justin Barrett. I live in Las Vegas, NV, and have been using HitFilm for about five years. I never imagined that I'd end up as an ambassador, and now as an ambassador/moderator, but I love HitFilm, and I love helping others learn about HitFilm. To that end, I started a channel called Clever Tagline a few years back to share stuff that I learned with the community. I've also got a second channel called All About That Base, where I share tips and tricks for using Airtable, an online database tool that I got addicted to in early 2019 thanks to a mention from Film Riot. Aside from client videos here and there, those two channels are my main projects.
Professionally, I've been in the animation industry in one form or another for 19 years. I spent seven years as a full-time CG character animator and animation supervisor. In 2008, while working at Reel FX, I switched to a TD role, where I spent four years developing tools and providing tech support for the Reel FX animation team. In mid-2012 I left Reel FX to pursue other creative projects as a freelancer, but I've stayed connected to the industry as a teacher, first as a mentor with Animation Mentor for five years, and then teaching the Intro to Maya class for AnimSchool starting in 2013. You can see some of the projects I worked on over the years on my IMDB page.
My current job is Director of Community Relations for Las Vegas Lights FC, a professional soccer team in the USL Championship league. I've been on furlough since early May thanks to COVID-19, but am still working on the side to help with home games and some video projects.
Love the new forum design, and can't wait to share my next HitFilm tutorial!

Hi,
I'm Lynn Cress and hail from Kansas by way of Colorado. If Mike considers himself "old" them I'm ancient. I still remember plumbicon tubes in video cameras. When I started in the biz we were still shooting on 3/4" tape with a RCA TK-76 cameras. I was thrilled when we got 1" tape and computerized editing. I've been an on the air TV director, technical director, online editor, writer/producer and 3D animator. I was in on the early days of Lightwave 3D with the Amiga, When I broke into computer animation as a career I had an SGI 4D/70 mini-mainframe running Wavefront software. From there I learned computer networking because I had to put the SGI and a Compaq 386 running Cubicomp onto the same network.
Learning networking naturally led me into IT support in later years as I had to keep all animation workstations and edit suites humming on the same network. That led to building and designing video based networks to support post production and also hiring/managing artists to fill the seats. IT pulled me into teaching computer networking and finally into management at a city college where I oversee staff and the data center.
But my heart is in computer graphics and I still produce documentaries and personal projects. When I discovered HitFilm and this wonderful community it seemed like a good fit. Currently I am working on a documentary about a local bicycle club. Next year will be the 50th anniversary of the group's founding (which is a story in itself) so I'm shooting footage now, getting on camera interviews, doing research, writing and plan to complete the project over the winter with HF.
As you can tell I'm a life long Star Trek fan. But would also have to say a big fan of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. Back in the day I read all I could on how both ST and 2001 where produced and this fascination fueled my interest in special effects.
I am glad to see so many young people on the forum as they are the content creators of the future. HF is such a wonderful tool and it's value is even more evident when you realize that what it can do today was technically impossible only a few years ago without huge budgets to support large compositing hardware (e.g. Flint, Flame, etc. . . .), multiple staff and edit suites.
Now one person with an iPhone can tell a compelling story and put it all together with HF. Go forth and create . . . .

Hey everyone, Hi The Team !
I'm Sebastien, from the Youtube channel Skynet Studio. I live in Canada, Montreal.
I'm a movie addict, cinema and actors fan, so it naturaly lead me to the editing softwares . I have a Canon 70D, but I have to admit that I use it more for video, and finaly not that much for fotography...which is a shame, I know !
My favourite actor...a huge buch of them, I really cannot pick one up : Edward Norton, Robert De Niro, Leonardo Di Caprio, Anthony Hopkins, Willem Dafoe,.......and so many more !!
Favourite movie : believe it or not, but Predator (1987) still my number one movie, since I saw it alone, in theatre, as a young teen. It was a blast.
Brotherhood of te Wolf is also a movie that make me fly high. But it still very hard to pick up only one movie.
My next project is continuing my Hitfilm tutorials channel, I really wanna make it stand out trough quality videos in french ( my mothertongue ), and improving my skills to a professionnal level ; yes, I want to be in the editing video business ! It can start by a partneship, a sponsorship, or so, and then joining a company
, who knows !
I'm more than happy to be a small part of the community that you created here at FX Home ! I have spent a lot of time lurning how to use Hitfilm Express, and now, that I have the Pro version, an all new world is wide open.
Can't wait to share my content and keep learning new stuffs with you !

Hi,
My name is Liam,
I'm Alaska born and raised, I started getting into video as a kid about 10 years ago, taking sledding videos and putting them together with funny effects and goofy music in windows movie maker. After several years I watched the documentary to 'the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe' and TinTin, and got interested in vfx, I was really pushing the limits of wmm by this time and while looking for greenscreen softwere on ebay (ya, I know), found Hitfilm Express2 for $1, unfortunately for me our laptop was waaaay under spec, and I had to wait a couple years before I could try out my "greenscreen" softwere.
So far most of my work that people know about is memorial slideshows that I'm still making in windows live movie maker. I have recently started several youtube channals and will probobly try to start growing one or two of them in the near future. I would like to make documentaries and shortfilms.
I don't actually watch many movies, but those I do watch are more in FilmSenie's zone (30's-mid70s), and (this will blow you away), I have never wached star wars ;-)

Hey all, I'm Josh, the CEO and founder of FXhome.
I'm from a rural county in the UK called Norfolk - my home town was Fakenham which was once voted the most boring in the UK. Currently, I live in Norwich, the central city in Norfolk, which is where FXhome is based.
I originally got into programming when I was around six years old (nothing super complicated) on the BBC Micro and ZX Spectrum. From there, I used several computer systems before falling for the Commodore Amiga in a big way (I just got a working one of these for the first time in years). The Amiga was where my love of graphic design started, which meant I started to get interested in the Mac as well, before transitioning entirely in the early 90s (although now I'm a PC guy, unless it is a mobile device, when I'm iOS all the way).
I have loads of favourite creators, and anyone getting to grips with HitFilm or Imerge will always pique my interest. If I have to pick someone, other than the people here at FXhome, then it would be the team over at Corridor Digital. Sam and Niko are great guys, and their creativity has inspired me for just about the whole lifetime of FXhome.
My favourite movie top 10 list changes often, but Back To The Future is always number one. Incidentally Predator (1987) is always top five, and I'm watched this movie more than any other - maybe 100+ times. I guess the same is true for TV too, with Band Of Brothers forever taking the top spot.
I'm always working on the software, websites and designing here at FXhome, but outside of the office, I'm usually messing with VR technology and the Unity and Unreal game engines.
Welcome to the new forum, everyone!

Hi! Im Benjamin Potter, but you may know me by my username Potter Productions or from my Black and white film that got on the community post a few months back. I currently live just outside of London (represent the brits). I am 17 and love to make films and just generally create content.
I've always been experimenting with film, but by Year 10 I realised I wanted to become a Film Director as there is an abundance of opportunities to direct in Film and TV. Once I got to do Media at a higher level, it was only then I only realised that I might be able to become a director. Seeing the people around me, how they would react to content I made, and how they would always want to be in my group by clambering around me when groups where being made - arguing who should be in my group! This helped me realised that i may have something - a knack to understanding film and how to engage and audience through the art of film, as at secondary school there wasn't much place for me to accel there; but at college, there has been.
That's where FXhome and Hitfilm come in. i discovered Hitfilm late 2018 but it soon becomes my favourite app - being an only child and not having money to spare on too many nice things, i have always been doing things for cheap and so when I found a software that was free and did almost everything premiere pro and after effects did but in one, i was amazed as i didn't want to crack premiere pro. So have been telling classmates and friends that need software to go for Hitfilm as it is free, and by promoting that, fortunately, got me Hitfilm Pro for free.
It would be hard to point to a specific creator but to mention some, Dan Mace for his style of editing, Corridor Digital for their amazing work with VFX and short films. Cinecom.net because of their continued help with VFX and obviously FXhome. In the mainstream section - JJ Abrams is a big go-to due to his heavy style of the '80s which I am totally in love with, and in conjunction with him Steven Spielberg because of his great Sci-fi films he has made during the 80's period. and a someone that isn't recognised enough Dave Filoni for his great understanding of star wars and how he is able to take some of the generally looked down upon parts of star wars and then turn it on its head and show it in a different light.
Again i don't think i can say that i have a single favourite movie/tv series but for TV shows i would say stranger thing is a big one because of its vibe and 80's nostalgia, then i would say Avatar the legend of Aang because of it amazing world-building and deep, complicated characters with some of the best arcs in television history along with its amazing fan base. then i would say umbrella academy because of its themes and ideas - the show sets itself up to be one about superpowers and killing bad guys to save the world from big evil corporations, but its more than that, its a show about family and accepting who you are in the time you are given on this earth and what you're going to do with it. and then in a different kind of category, Mork and Mindy, it is some of Robin Williams best work when he was starting his prime, the show is so heartwarming and nice to stick on while eating dinner, just a nice feel-good show that will have you smiling even in the sad scenes and an aching belly from some of its funniest episodes where robin hits the comedy ball out of the park and is just out of this world ability to make you laugh. Then for movies, i would say the star was and marvel franchise as they are great staples of cinema, star wars being a small budget film that turned into blockbuster hits 50 years later with its legacy still carrying on in people today, young and old. marvel for its pioneering effects and efforts to envision the universe that is the MCU, making game-changing effects and techniques with every movie.
I am currently working on quite a lot of projects, some jobs, some personal and some for college. my next project im working on is a live-action version of Starkiller from the force unleashed games as i love creating star wars content with all the effects and presets that hitfilm & video co-pilot offer in that sector, so be prepared for that to come out soon as we are just finishing off pre-production. But be sure to check me out on my website or my Youtube channel as i am always planning or making something new!!

Greetings from Arizona, United States!
My name is Brian and I am very new to video production but extremely excited to learn! So far I'm mostly learning the basics of HitFilm Express and watching a lot of instructional videos.
I first got into audio production a long time ago when I was a DJ and ultimately followed a different career path in Information Technologies. But I never lost my love to be creative and that has led me here.
For shows/TV, I have to say my favorite is almost anything Science Fiction. Babylon 5 stands out for me as an impressive example of early CGI (not to mention the amazing storylines) and there are too many shows to count that inspire me to learn more about computer generated as well as practical effects; Star Trek, Star Wars and the Avengers films stand out as other obvious favorites.
I currently have an ambitious goal to work on a project that will span over the next year. This project involves the interweaving of aspects of the current year with those from next year, using effects that will combine the two for a (hopefully) stunning contrast. Along the way I plan to use other effects as part of the project to really "amp up" the production and keep viewers entertained.
It took me a while to find the right software to learn and grow into video production, but with FXHome's HitFilm Express and its "Pay what you want" model, not to mention the incredible amount of support, it became no contest. I went with the "VFX Artist" package with an eye on upgrading to Pro eventually. I really look forward to learning everything possible with this software!
Thank you!

Hello all, My name is Ken I live in Florida and retired and a caregiver to my wife who ha MS.
I have loved special effects my whole life. I started out with 8mm film and I hated the wait till I got it back to see what I did. Then the video camera came out and I had to get one but had to figure out how to do VFX on video, then I heard of the Amiga 500 and started to play around with that until the Toaster 2000 ( Seaquest DSV ) came out and just to think about the render time UGH!!! 24hr.
Any Sci-Fi movie I like, I like to watch and see how things are done then try to redo it myself. I have never uploaded really anything on FXhome yet but one of these days I might. I am glad my son has followed my footsteps in this cause he is a whole lot better than me but he uses Blender a lot and I just dabble in both of these software.
I just finished painting a wall in my garage for green screen and added another coat to it to clean up the light spots and can't wait to start playing around with it and doing some fun backdrop green screen and added myself into movies. I would love to do the whole garage but I got so much stuff in there I only have this small wall.
Hope to hear and learn and find out some new ideas here and great to be part of the crowd.
Thanks

Welcome to the community @usafdummy!😁

Hi there!
I’m Elijah, I sometimes go by Eli, but people on the internet know me by my username: TriforceFX. Oh and apparently I’m a Moderator now 😂
I’m originally from Colorado (there seems to be a number of us here!), but i now live elsewhere in the US.
Filmmaking apparently runs in my family:
My Dad made scripted videos with his siblings using a home video camera and a VCR to edit them.
My Grandma bought the video camera because she loved to record everything she could (the camera is probably her favorite feature on her iPhone now!)
Even my great grandfather was a playwright! (Interestingly, he’s the only one of us that made a profession out of audio/visual arts)
For me, I got into filmmaking around 2008... I was at a friend’s house and a series of funny moments in a video game prompted us to start recording and making a YouTube video out of it. It didn’t really go anywhere, but it was so enjoyable that I started making short films with my siblings and posting them online. I began learning how to make videos with Pinnacle Studio which happened to be on my family’s computer at the time. We made a number of videos and usually improved with each one. I found HitFilm after watching Film Riot’s Portal Combat (imo still the BEST advertising and collaboration FXhome has ever done!) and instantly fell in love with the software... I could do so much for free that was basically impossible in my old, expensive-for-me-at-the-time software. I don’t get to make videos as often as I’d like, but I enjoy it every chance I get.
Favorite creators? Hard to say, though early inspirations on YouTube for me were Freddie Wong, Film Riot, and Ryan Higa.
I’ve always loved Star Wars, Star Trek, and Lord of the Rings. Looking at the behind-the-scenes stuff for them was was also a huge inspiration (especially the LotR Appendices... such a treasure trove for any filmmaker, imo)
As far as my next projects go? I’m playing with 3D in HitFilm for basically the first time... I’ve been inspired recently by SpaceX’s Starship program and now I’m trying to make a Star Trek-style flyby sequence involving it. Definitely been a huge learning experience!

@usafdummy I just finished painting a wall in my garage for green screen... Living my dream right there! I want to own again instead of rent just so I can paint an entire garage Kelly Green from Wal-Mart like that. 🤑👍️

I suppose I should comment on this as well!
Hey all, I'm Phil!
I've been a user of FXHome software since Visionlab (loved it!). I got into film at 30 (I'm 40 now)
I'm kind of from everywhere. Born in the UK, lived in Japan for a bit, lived on both coasts of the US, and now I'm outside of Boston, MA (Go Pats)
I got into film because, honestly, it was therapy for me. I was going through a rough time at 30, and wanted to work through a lot of thoughts and feelings that I had about getting older. So I started to write scripts exploring the themes of getting older, not knowing what direction to take, and feeling like I should have accomplished more. I wanted to do more than just write though, so I learned about VFX, and was hooked. Then, I had to learn how to edit, how to deal with audio, compositional theory, etc. Now, I love the fact that so many people can use the genre to explore thoughts and feelings in a way that you can't with other artistic mediums.
I have so many different favorite creators for so many different reasons:
- Sam Esmail for writing, framing, and lighting
- Phillip Bloom for camera knowledge
- The Corridor Digital Folks, for their willingness to teach, and their wealth of knowledge
- The Film Riot folks, who taught me most of what I know
My favorite TV/movies are easily Mr Robot, Battlestar Galactica, Fight Club, What Dreams May Come, and of course Avatar the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra
Aside from making sure this forum is up and running, I want to get better at camera work, grading, and editing.
I have a few scripts that I'm working on now, but it's a bit hard to gather people to film things with all that's been going on, so I've been messing with learning how to tell stories with no camera movement, implied action, voice-over and other methods!
-
Ok Well I don't Usually do these but hey, why not for a change.
So I'm John living in Gloucestershire in the UK Software developer of 30 year experience and Father of two.
Can't really say what got me into film making as I've been into it for years but I think it was my affinity with tech and love of movies and TV that brought me here. I've been on these forums for 9 years so the profile on this new platform tells me and Fist started with FX home with AlamDV that was on the front of a video camera magazine.
I don't really have a favourite creator but I do like the darker side of thing and some atmosphere. I tend at times to be non conventional is what I like.
Favourite movie. I don't have just one. Alien, Aliens, Apocalypse Now, Blade runner, Serenity, The shining, Zombieland, Shaun of the dead,
TV Shows. Another array really, Love a quiz as do the family Firefly, Blakes 7, Utopia,Elementary, Indeed many detective shows.
What am i working on/what next. Well I do a themed Xmas movie with the kids each year for the wife and I continue to try and write a post apocalyptic Zombie type series but it turns out I'm more about the tech than the creative side. I have lots of Scenes in my head but tying them together with a story is a real challenge for me.
My Youtube is DreamArchitect365 but I don't post much on there and what I have is pretty poor. Mostly the annual xmas movie. I need to do more but at 53 and two kids, time is at a premium. At least that's my excuse anyway.
Out side of this I'm a runner, occasional drummer (beginner) and gardener (Covid gave the wife and I time to spend on this).
So that's my online dating profile. Photos on request 😀

Hey folks, I'm Matt a.k. HybridHalo.
I'm a Compositor who's spent the last 12 years or so working in London's feature film and television Visual Effects Industry. If you've seen Good Omens, Detective Pikachu, Avengers Endgame, Star Wars Rogue One you will have seen some of my recent work, if you plan to go see the new James Bond, Wonder Woman, Kingsman movies then you'll see some more.
Back in the pre-Hitfilm days of fxhome I used to be a moderator and ambassador, but over time I got really busy with my career and others took up the responsibility. I'm not around so much these days, but fxhome is where I got my start and was a meaningful part of who I am today, and so occasionally I come back and post. So to answer what got me into film making : Fxhome, and a friend and fellow fxhomer - Joby (er-no), did. I really was lucky to have grown up in an internet age where information didn't become as centralised to aggregator sites like Reddit, and I think the value of being part of a community places like fxhome, whilst you're learning and sharing is massively beneficial and important.
My favourite creator is probably David Lynch - though In more modern media I'm really into Robert Eggers and Ari Aster's stuff. Also Damon Lindelhof, Mike Flanagan and Alex Garland though I don't think I have a favourite.
My favourite TV series this year was DEVS, but I also like Channel Zero and What we do in the Shadows. Watchmen was also excellent.
What I'm working on next is the second season of His Dark Materials, but I'm also mad into cycling and plan to raise by FTP by the end of the year. I'll be popping in here from time to time to marvel at how much the software has grown and to enjoy watching the community grow and thrive creatively. I really enjoy watching what people are making, so keep doing it if not to fulfil your own ambitions, then for me!

Recent work: *casually name drops some of the biggest films of the last few years*
I’m curious, do you still use tools like HitFilm in your work for certain things?
-
So nice to be reading all these intros! We might be from all over the world, but it is lovely to see that that are so many shared interests and passions! Plus it is always great to see the elusive @HybridHalo - feels like the old days. Hope to see you next year buddy.
-
I've been active on the forums for three years, and I knew practically nothing abut prominent users, this thread was a really neat idea👍
-
Wow @HybridHalo. What a blast from the past. Great that you could pop in and say hi. Fantastic to see that you made a top career out of this work. I know there are a number of pros on here but that's a hell of a list to name drop 🙂
-
Hi, I'm Tim. I'm a boring 60-year-old from southwest Ohio in the USA. I hardly ever find time to watch movies, but spend hours on YouTube. I liked the LOTR and Star Wars movies, Harry Potter, whatever my kids were into. Crazy Stupid Love was a super cheap DVD that I really enjoyed. I liked Viggo Mortensen in Green Book.
I do some basic editing in Vegas (school plays, vacation and family videos). I've never even used HitFilm, but have been following this website almost daily for many, many years. Back in the days of Wasser, the Adams brothers, Redhawksrymmer(?), etc.
I see mentions here of Corridor Digital being inspirational. I imagine that many members here might not be aware that Sam and Niko really started out here in the FxHome community, well before they became famous for Corridor Digital.
@IamJoshuaDavies (or anyone else) -- Do you recall the name Sam and Niko posted under here at FxHome? It might be fun to locate some of their old posts and video submissions.

Hello!

I am a driving teacher, and I am passionate about computers, movies (especially science fiction / fantasy / action), travel, and many other things!
I have a youtube channel , "lolo le mono", which I created for my students. Of course I now use Hitfilm to create the videos;)

Hi, I'm Tony or Dafter Things and I live in the UK.
I make stop motion videos as a way of turning stories into film. The animating part is just a necessary evil.
Favourite movie? Probably Bourne Identity. Just love how you 'feel' the world. Children of Men is right up there as well and also 28 Days Later.
Favourite TV series has to be Firefly. Love the characters, love the humour especially the crew dynamic. That might also be why I like the Original Star Trek.
I've got a couple more scenes to complete for my next video which is called "When Darkness Falls" . It's the first in a series I hope to make called Gotham Tales. It's taken me so long to get this far. Written well over a year ago I just wasn't ready to do it justice. I'm still not sure if I am but I am very pleased with the set I built for it.

@TimLan635 They were mechaforce and sidewinder back in the day - they still use those handles in a couple of places too. I'm still in touch with a few of those guys, including the Adams brothers and Nils. :)
