The 2015 Scientific Academy Award Nominee, Xfrog is a procedural organic 3D modeller that allows you to create and animate 3d trees, flowers, nature based special effects or architectural forms. Xfrog is available as a Mac OS, Windows, and Linux plug-in for Maya, Cinema 4D and as a standalone application.

     So I had a look, although it seems to be doing updated, I would say this software had been superceded by what you can get from unreal. One page I found regarding exporting isn't going to delete much joy for you as it clearly states the complexity of exporting http://www.td-grafik.de/ext/xfrog/export/index.html

    Thanks Andy.   It looked to me like they were selling a plugin to softwares that I don't own, so I started the thread mostly in case it might prove useful to someone else.   I can't say I really know too much about their offerings as I only visited for a few minutes.

    XFrog is a powerful plant modelling tool, there's no doubt there. A less expensive alternative is available as an add-on for Blender called The Grove, which is quite impressive and absolutely worth a look also. Plus plants modeled in the The Grove are easy to export; I experimented with exporting some for use in Terrragen.
