Best Converting Software

Behind_The_Lens Posts: 161 Just Starting Out*

Hi all, it's been ages since I've been on this forum, and in the last year or so I haven't really been spending that much time improving myself technically in filmmaking... so I apologize if I say something that doesn't really make sense or isn't the right exact term.

I have, for years, used MPEG Streamclip to convert my heavily compressed Canon T5i Files to ProRes LT files so my computer can handle editing. (Just to show you how behind I am with techy stuff now, I'm using HF4Pro!) However, I just upgraded my Mac to OSx Catalina. And now, MPEG streamclip doesn't open with the upgrade. I tried some converters I found online (Handbrake, AVC free, etc.) but they were either limited because you need to pay to access features, or they didn't have support for Prores. Any suggestions for conversion software that supports Prores for Mac?
