Will not allow me to import an mp4

Hello I am trying to upload several mp4 video files to make a montage and having issues as it will not import.

    Thanks for posting a MediaInfo report. Kudos.

    MP4 is just a generic video container format. That said, your file with an mp4 file extension is not an MP4 container file. 

    Complete name : C:\Users\nutsn\Downloads\Double Kraber Headshot GG.mp4
    Format : MPEG-TS

    It is an mpeg transport stream. This may be tripping up Hitfilm. Try renaming the file extension to mts or m2ts.

    An MP4 container would list this

    Format : MPEG-4

    and either of the following for the profile.

    • Format profile : Base Media
    • Format profile : JVT

    --

    Also the CodeID listed as 27. All AVC video files I have seen have a codec ID of "avc1". I can't say if this is a problem for Hitfilm or not. I just have not seen it.

    Changing the file to m2ts worked perfectly.  Thanks so much @NormanPCN
