Need help with prop idea
So in a short film I'm making, two people are linked to a bomb with bracelets that, when they get too far from the bomb, start beeping rapidly... and they don't want to find out what happens if they get too far away. It's very similar to the ankle monitors in Film Riot's PROXiMITY (
But, this is a zero-budget film. I can spare ten bucks here and there but overall I'm trying to just use household stuff or dollar store stuff. These monitors don't have to look complex. They could just be black wristbands with something added to them, but I'm not sure and I have a ton of other work to do for the pre-production so...
Any ideas?

Foam, glue, a heat gun, and paint ...........and light VFX with tracking?
Or add 3 cheap lighted push button switches ... with external (hidden) wire to each and battery pack. When you want to light the next light.... connect the battery to the new one (off camera).

@jeffreyfrancis by project what do you mean exactly? I'm wary to give off too many plot details because it's a very complicated plot with a lot of twists, but the basics are a teenager wakes up with this band on his arm and he's next to a bomb. The bomb is counting down. When he gets more than a few feet away from the bomb, the band starts beeping. So he's stuck next to a ticking bomb and he has to try to figure out what's happening.
