    Hi,
The HD 6850 is one of the more high end notebook graphics cards, but is not much more powerful than some mid range cards. It should run HitFilm fine, but will always pale in comparison to that of a desktop card.
One of the best sites on the web for graphics cards comparisons is Tom's Hardware, they have a great Notebook Graphics Card benchmark table here. And a graphics card hierarchy for desktops here.
Hope this answers your question, if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask.
    Many Thanks

I am using Geforce 560 TI 1GB for a few Days now, and I'm happy with it. Particle Effects are working very good, Editing however isn't faster. I had before a Geforce 230. I think, these are the Performance-Items, which will be fixed by the Hitfilm-Team soon.
But with the new Card I can finally work moderately well.
    Greetings,
    Chris :-)
