Any sites with high quality sound effects?

my problem is, that I want free sound effects, because I'm not really able to buy them yet, but every site with free sound effects I go to (or even the paid ones) have a lot of bad products. I would just like to have as many sites to choose from as possible, because for some reason I'm having a difficult time finding any.
By sound effects I mean guns, vehicles, impacts etc.

productioncrate.com the free access has some limitations (number of downloads per day), but the selection is good, and you can build a library with just some patience
-
Have to say that the paid access for Production Crate is well worth the relatively low price.

@JBaymore agreed. I'm a happy paying customer

Thanks for help! That's what I need.
EDIT: Productioncrate is fantastic so far. Thank you once again. -
Don't forget that there are Composers (and Sound Designers) eager to get credits on published work they can show in their Portfolio and will work for little to no money to achieve that. This elevates your film out of that library sound (that is easy to spot).

@HYDRANT2 Sorry it took me so long to respond. I finally had a chance to look for this link:
BBC Sound Effects - Research & Education Space
It may be of some interest to you.
-
Don't forget :
http://99sounds.org/free-sound-effects/
https://www.freesoundeffects.com/free-sounds/electric-sounds-10032/
These sites may look older but still have some quality sound effects!
-
https://freesound.org/ have some good ones, there are also some not so good but look for the star rating when you search for a particular sound

@nathantu it's always a little strange when someone's first post revives a thread that's been inactive for a year - especially when leaving somewhat sketchy links. Can you leave another comment or something to convince me you're not a bot, please?
@Andy001z or other Mods - since I've asked another user for a response, we'll leave this thread open for another day or two, but, y'know I'll close it soon.

@Triem23 I think these are valid sites, most likely we are going to see old threads popping up when people use the search. Some one sees a valid thread and posts. I agree might be a little odd.

An option for you here: https://sonnerieportable.com/

Here is a free Sound Management Tool.
-
Many thanks for sharing the ADSR Sample Manager.
It's very handy and improved a lot my sound management workflow!
-
Hi, might be just me but the ADSR sample manager doesn't appear very stable. With all my links I like to try them out to ensure they are decent links and this looks good. It installed fine, and ran fine, but then after closing it down and trying to re-open it just would not load. Looking on online it seems the recent updates have had some issues.
While @EvilDaystar it is good to hear it is working for you, at this time I shan't be adding it to VFXLists just yet.
-
@vfxlists I've had a few minor issues but I think those come from the fact that my 2 internal storage drives were full (this is also my gaming rig :smile: ) so I migrated my SFX collection to a USB Hard Drive that has a sleep mode (WD - My Book). Other than that, it works great for me. I love the fact that I can select parts of an effect in ADSR and drag straight into HitFilm
-
Loopmasters,
but you gotta pay, but it's awesome reliable, affordable, great quality and no copyright restrictions.
-
Audiio pretty new but a lifetime subscription with sfx and soundtracks. So worth it tho

I've tried posting a list of sites but my post is awaiting approval.
Here is a smaller list.
To start: FXHome apparently has a small library of sounds for free.
Adobe has some as well for free.
And finally Premiumbeats.
Hopefully my other post gets approved.

@EvilDaystar Thanks for the links.
BTW, I don't believe the post you mention is waiting for approval. I only see 4 posts created by you in your profile and none are about the list of audio sites (unless it is an embedded comment in a thread started by another poster) . You might try making your post again. FYI, if it had been deleted for some reason, it could have been inadvertently identified as spam (which would be unlikely if it is just a list of sites for reference).
-
@stargazer54 weird. I got a little popup in the corner.

@TheBenNorris commented earlier that too many quick posts can trigger the spam filter. It's possible long lists of links can do that too.

I never knew that Hitfilm had sound effects.....@EvilDaystar thanks for sharing

<Physical Address Removed by Moderator>
For those of you who don't read French. This site sonneriepro is fishy AF. I'd not use it.
Anonymous registrar, site less than a year old, address at the bottom of the page is a money mart or a psychiatrist clinic , no liscence info for the files, web design dating from the 80s ...
-
@EvilDaystar Thank you for pointing this out to me. I removed the physical address part of your post because I wasn't comfortable with it complying with the EU restrictions on personal information in a public forum, so I thought better to err on the side of caution.

The physical address is on their website and appears to be a business address.
