sooo the huge perfomance update was released and i like it but i miss the undo and redo buttons as well the save project button that were in the last hitfilm express, is there a way to get those back?
@humblebees and everyone else, In Version 12.3, if you look under File, Options, Interface, check ON the box that says "Show quick actions in menu bar." That will turn on the Undo and Redo Buttons on the top of the Interface. Also, as a bonus, it turns on the Save and Open buttons as well.
Checking out the new interface and it's very nice. I'm missing my readily available save button and I can"t find an "UNDO" button at all? Am I missing it?
No buttons. Just menus. File menu for save, Edit menu for edit commands like undo.
Use the keyboard shortcuts. Ctrl+S for save. Ctrl+Z for undo. You can even operate the menus via keyboard shortcuts.
Ok I found it. Didn't see it at first... Thank you.
For now, it seems like the only way would be to reinstall v11. If you want to continue using 12, you have a few options. For me, the fastest one is learning the keyboard shortcuts. Assuming you're on Windows, Ctrl+Z for undo, Ctrl+Y for redo, Ctrl+S for save. The best part about these is that they are universal shortcuts and work in almost any program (Word, Photoshop, and anywhere undo, redo, and save are applicable).
You can also use the Edit menu for undo/redo and the File menu for save.
There was another thread talking about using the buttons on the History panel.
Seeing how much people want them back, I wouldn't be surprised if they came back in an update, at least as an option. I think most of the people that tested the v12 beta are power users that hardly even noticed the buttons were missing because they use shortcuts. No idea if there's a way to let more casual users beta test but I think they might have considered it more if they let a casual user give input.
Another vote to have the buttons!
yay, join the army of add buttons back
Did you happen to find any solution for those buttons ?
Where did you find it? I can't find it yet. Thanks.
Sometimes I use shortcut keys like Ctrl+Z, but I am not sure it works or not when I use shortcut keys.
@LD_Novak see Film Sensei's comment directly above yours. The buttons exist. Turn them on.
