Apple is dropping support for certain codecs in macOS 10.15...

Even though I use HitFilm Pro currently on El Capitan, is this something of which the community on a whole should be aware going forward (particularly the HitFilm users on Macs)?

 Granted, I mostly work in Motion Graphics/Animation, so my world is largely image sequences BUT I still have to output just like everyone else...

     Well, for now, nothing has been announced officially and there is a lot of assumptions in that article. I can't talk for FCP X but regarding HitFilm, we will review the status of all supported formats when 10.15 developer preview comes out or at least we know more about what is going to happen from a reliable source. There is no need to panic at the moment.
