Hi all

I was wondering if it is possible to take a flat plane and manipulate it over an object or a person in a moving image? Like say taking a picture of Thanos and extruding it over an actual persons face.

In theory, yes, by creating the proper detailed, grayscale, animated height map, using parallax, doing a 3D object track of the face, etc.

In reality it won't work because the parallaxed plane will cut off at its boundary, and, to accurately generate the height map you'll need to work in a true 3D program  and, the skill set required to do what you're asking would be the skill set required to do full-3D anyway.

Thanks @Triem23, I did think it would be slightly more complicated in its execution,
