Formats Starter Pack needed?

its_dowsits_dows Website User Posts: 4

I use  HitFilm Express and get footage from a Cycliq Fly12CE Dash/Actioncam.

When trying to import this footage info Hitfilm I get a "Load Error" and no further information about went wrong.

May I need the "Formats Starter Pack" Addon? I don't want to invest 10 $ and the error might be sill there.

That's the footages format:

Hmmm. You have h.264 video  which I would think Hitfilm should load.

What are your system specs? CPU, GPU, OS, RAM and storage? Are your GPU drivers current? Is it a Dell or Alienware?

    Ah, it's a Dell. Had a feeling.

There's a FAQ you should read.

Thank you for the input, but "Dell Backup and Recovery" nor "Alien Respawn" is installed.

Really? Drat, hoped it was an easy fix.

Next guess is check your GPU drivers are current. I'd suggest contacting support, but, as of version 6 (November  2017), Hitfilm no longer officially supports Win 7.

I've updated the drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) with no success.
I opened a ticket may be the tech support has any idea, despite the runned out support lifecycle.

If you or others have suggestions how to fix this (except pre-encoding with Handbreak or such) I really like to hear. :)
