Hitfilm 2017 & Mocha
Initial link is broken.
Maybe a silly question but what was Mocha's role in this? Could it not be tracked in Hitfilm. Apologies if I am missing something.
(TBH : I was waiting for a Turbo effect)
i try Hitfilm tracker but it stops after one frame, mocha has better precision in tracking, almost automatic
I wonder if that is due to the tracking colour match on the tips of the snail and the floor which look similar.
@Andy001z probably. I can see the shadows on the ground confusing the point tracker.
@Hitfilmer186166 nicely tracked.
I think also that the tips of the snail and the floor look very similar, thats why point tracker not work.. and this is very small part of snail, i start mocha tracking several times..
Agreed, you needed to sick little green crosses on the end of his stalks (NOT!)
You could have created two points, placed them at the ends of the stalks and then tracked the points... wait..... oh!!!!
Yup, with the handheld camera, moving snail, floor texture, autofocus hunting, and CMOS wobble, that was a really hard shot to track for a simple effect. I'm not kidding when I say nicely tracked. You should be proud you nailed it!
Seriously, I can imagine even mocha needing a lot of correction.
Changing the tracking option to Actual RGB (or whatever it's called, check the options) can really make it work with stuff that's really hard to distinguish from the background. I've used it to get rock-solid tracking of a sky where there were only the faintest of slight grey changes to lock onto.
