Drive size question

Hello,

I am going to be putting some SSDs in my computer, and was wondering about appropriate sizes.

drive 1: SSD, OS + programs // 250 gb

drive 2: SSD, Active projects // 500 gb

drive 3: 1 TB 7200 rpm HD // archive + library

Would these SSD drive sizes be good choices?  If not, could you recommend more appropriate sizes.

Thanks for any info!

Well, more is always better, but that's a pretty good plan.

Two things to consider--if you do a lot of heavy compositing; if you do a lot of work requiring proxies, those suck up drive space. If you intend on leaving proxies in the default location, which will be your OS drive, consider upping that to 512GB. If you'll move the proxy directory  to the work drive, consider upping that to 640GB or a terabyte.

Hard drives are cheap. Depending on how much stock media, sound effects, music, etc you have consider going to 2 or 4TB (which would cost less than upgrading either SSD).
