Can I use HitFilm demo files in my projects - amateur non-income project

My daughter and her friends are going to make a 5-minute "Star Wars" like video. There are several demos created by HitFilm (I think). There are a few scenes - some of it footage and some entire projects - that I would like to use with some minor alterations (Examples include the PDA project or Stormtrooper Laser Blast Scene).

Who can I ask to get permission? I want to be above board. It could be shared with friends, but is really only for fun and giggles. It will not be distributed, and I would obviously give credit to whomever should get credit in my credits at the end (and I can even put the credit up front)

My guess is you should be fine, but I'm going to tag @KirstieT and @OliThompson

One of them would specifically know the copyright intent/status of provided demo projects.
