hi I'm a new user to HitFilm and I love the tool very much but I got and error message from my Surface that the resolution was too low but as it turns out the scaling system in windows unfortunately throws the program for a loop and was wondering if you guys might get to support for higher DPI displays.

I have attached an example of the issue.

@Inf4mousKid could you be a bit more specific please? What do you mean by "the scaling system in windows unfortunately throws the program for a loop"? HitFilm already supports HighDPI displays, this is not what the message is saying. You are asking Windows to make all the apps 150% of their normal size and what HitFilm is saying is that after the resizing the resolution is likely to be too small to be usable.

Have you tried setting the "Change the size of text, apps and other items [...]" in Windows to 125% instead of 150%? You have to restart HitFilm when you change this setting and you may need to logout and log back in as well.

In HitFilm 2017 there is an option to ignore the Windows scaling factor.
