Super Slow Export. Mac Settings?

Hello!

First I want to start by saying I REALLY want HitFilm 4 Pro to be my solution, however I have some concerns after using the HitFilm 3 Express.  I did a test last night comparing HF3E, FCP, and Premiere Pro.  I used the same 30 second source clip, same editing (reversed the clip), and exported to H.264 with same settings.  The results were crazy in difference.

FCP managed to export the project in under 30 seconds.  Maybe even faster as I didn't have my stopwatch ready.

Premiere Pro came in second at around 6 minutes and some change.

HF3E came in at a whopping 16 minutes.  I had to have done something wrong, right?  Anybody using it on a Mac that can suggest proper settings/config to maximize performance?

Computer Specs:

15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display

2.8GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 4.0GHz
16GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
1TB PCIe-based Flash Storage
Intel Iris Pro Graphics + AMD Radeon R9 M370X with 2GB GDDR5 memory

Thanks in advance!

Jason
