(Technical) Breakdown creation

Does HF have an effects preset for this? (If not, hint hint)
I am looking for a way to create a breakdown. So far I have seen the majority using 2 ways: 1. swipes where the new layer swipes in, but not slides in; and 2. where individual objects or parts of the composition are faded in, presumably on their own layer on top of the original.
Any tips of creating any of the two are welcome.
*It might be interesting for HF to have these as a preset as well, at some point a lot of users would make a demo reel  8-|

You should put this in the wish list thread.
I don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for-

his is what I mean. Around 0:20 or something you see the left to right swipes where they swipe in the layer above the plate.
If I am analyzing this correctly, it means that the layer "underneath" remains, and the layer that will swipe in, swipes with a mask, sort of white on the left for showing through, and black on the right for blocking. So it does not slide in.

Those are pretty much just screenshots with the crop animated across to give that effect. Stop the video at a certain point then open the original layer/footage by itself and take a screenshot, then turn on the first effect and screenshot, then another, an so on. Then just import the screenshots to your editor and animated the masks on.

There may be a better way but that's the easiest way I can think to do it.
