Added the Back ground.

I like the look. Sort of something that can be used in a title sequence.
-
Another DAS 3d render, but this some using a third party model and scene, much improved quality. The glow is a Hitfilm touch, you know just playing.
-
Very nice, work @Andy001z . :)
The dislike button is still way too close to the Like button, I keep almost ticking it. :)

Thanks @spydurhank I'm blown away by what you can do these days, the quality of the render is amazing. I might have to learn me some blender.

If I'm not mistaken Daz3D has an Iray render function? Is the image above rendered out with iRay? I played with Daz3D a few years back. Definitely interesting. It was a toss-up for the longest time between Daz3D and Character Creator 3 for me. In the end I went with iClone/CC3.
Nice image Andy...although the female looks to be a bit cross-eyed to me? Dropped at birth like I was maybe 😉

the female looks to be a bit cross-eyed to me?
@GrayMotion Or maybe she's focusing on something at a close distance. That's how it feels to me anyway.
-
@CleverTagline @GrayMotion Hi guys thanks for feedback. Certainly now I look at it your bang on about the eyes. One area I am still learning. Eyes are always the hardest.
The render is using the IRAY, and I'm using ver 4.15 which is now free. The catch is that all the good stuff is available to buy from the store. That said, for a hobbyist like me there is plenty to play with. Character Creator certainly looks the more powerful tool, but it costs.
Until the next render.

My first go at DAS animation, now the highest quality and 94 frames took about 1hr. The end result is a HITFILM custom flare and glow effects added.
Let me know if the animation on the GIF works or not, I think it might the forum.

Testing the spot lights in DAS 3d.
-
Looking good!
-
@Triem23 yep, bit blown out, really hard to get the brightness right of the spot.
-
Hey Andy. Can you use a few more free motion files? I take it that you can use them in Daz

This is my Entry for the #TIME weekly competition. Enjoy.

@Andy001z Love it!

Nice!

Very nice!

Thanks all, post a couple of days I can already see some tweaks I would make, but you got to stop somewhere right.
-
@Andy001z I particularly like how your mattes and layers are set up and how all the overlapping elements interact. Also the watch cogs dropping in the hourglass.
My only nitpick is the final explosion which looks like the Fire Explosion preset. That particular preset looks surprisingly good in the beginning and middle, but the way it ends with all the particles shrinking down gets unrealistic. A stock explosion from Action VFX, Production Crate or other vendor would really finish this off nicely. But I REALLY like this piece and think it's one of the strongest things you've ever produced. The whole thing is just excellent work.
Y'know, this overall design would make a great title sequence for a "Twilight Zone" reboot!

Decided to have a little play with laying some Fractal Noise on a tracked face. What do you think?
-
I like it. 😀
-
Working so far. I think if you add a touch of Displacement on the fractal layer, using the face video as the source it'll help "wrap" the glows on the face a bit for even better integration.
-
Looks very appropriately creepy.
-
@Triem23 Thanks, I was trying to think of a way to do that.
-
So a bit light on the Hitfilm input into this project, basic edit and use of light leak effect. The rest was done in Flowscape software.
-
Nice!
-
DAS render with some Hitfilm touches.

3d Model and glow testing
-
Andy, is that using the new-ish superglow in Hitfilm 17 or Blender...or a combo platter? It does have a regeneration feel to it.

Nice
