Noon - Short Sci-Fi

Hi peeps,
Thought you might like this little short:

I thought it was excellent, and apart from the somewhat unbelievable sci-fi premise, it created a believable world, with some great characterisation and a 'i want to see more' story.
Although i'm sure the security guards were from Half Life :)
I also thought the effects were great, added to the scenes and fitted in well without any specific attention to them. They looked natural.
Anyway, enough waffling, what do you think?

I like it! Clever use of a single set, with small glimpses at the outside world.
Best thing about this is the acting, which is way above par for this kind of indie sci-fi project. The inspector in particular is superb: really intimidating and creepy without being cartoonish or hammy. Reminded me a bit of Christoph Waltz in Inglorious Basterds.
The setup for the story is fascinating, as well. Bit of a shame it didn't really have any relevance to what was going on. Ultimately, this could quite easily have been set at any border outpost in any time/place. The sci-fi elements were visually cool, but bore no effect on the plot. Missed opportunity there, I think.
