Advice: Lightsaber test

Hey guys, back with another short film. This time, a Star Wars related one. I got my new graphic card and PSU so I'm down to edit! I need advice though. This is a short "test" clip, which needs a LOT of work but I ran out of time for the night.
Known issues:
Masking/keyframing needs work, kind of rushed it in places to get it done.
Sound doesn't match up.
Collision "flash" needs work.
Glow might be overdone.

Got any advice otherwise? I haven't started the actual video yet... I figured I'd drop this here and get some advice first.
Thanks!

Set the blend mode on the lightsabers neon glow to ADD.

I already did

The cores need to be whiter, especially on the orange ones. There's some color from the Glow or transparency in the core or a vignette on the frame or something affecting the brightness of the cores, which makes them look weak and harmless, like they are holding flourescent bulbs rather than lightsabers. I think this is what led Kahveh to assue you hadn't used Add blend.

Alright, thanks. I'll make those brighter.
