New Canon Cameras.
Has anyone heard anything more about the release dates for the Canon Eos Cameras? The C300 http://www.canon.ca/inetCA/products?m=gp&pid=12971 and C500 http://www.canon.ca/inetCA/products?m=gp&pid=16188. Not that I can afford either of them. But just wondering how people feel they are comparing to red epic etc. Or course if anyone wants to give me the $30-40,000 for the camera and lenses I won't say no.

Just get a rebel ti3 camera that is the cheap way out for now unless you are a small studio and having movies sent nation wide to redbox and etc. I can get a movie look with a rebel ti3 and they cost 749.99 in the usa. -
The Canon T4i has been announced:

Touchscreen controls. Auto-focus during video. Stereo mic. I *think* I saw a reference to manual audio level control -- but don't take my word for it. Track down details at your favorite review sites. I've only skimmed a few sites (I'm not really in the market).
EDIT: Yeah, manual audio control is actually mentioned in the first paragraph of the official Canon Overview that I linked to above (at canon.com):
"For users interested in creating impressive videos, the Rebel T4i is ready to help you create your next masterpiece. Movie Servo AF provides continuous focus of moving subjects, so you never miss a moment. A built-in stereo microphone and manual audio level adjustment helps ensure that your audio will match the stunning quality of your video."

Thanks for the advice guys, but actually looking at it for a possible studio set-up and long term investment I've seen the promo videos online and been pretty impressed with what I've seen on the C300

seriously out of my budget, looks awesome, just nothing I can afford. If I had that kind of money i'd make a feature length film lol.
